Personal History: Man Maya has an uncle and an aunt who live in, Katmandu. Man Maya’s sister was adopted by a Spanish family, but comes to Nepal to visit every two years. Man Maya usually spends Dashain at Balmandir Orphanage, but every now and then, she is invited to her uncle’s house.

What makes me special?: Man Maya is a healthy teenager who loves to knit, watch movies and read, especially “books of Sociology.” Her favorite sports are dancing, basketball and cricket. Man Maya is in the 10th grade and is a bright, hardworking student. She currently ranks in the top quarter of her class. Man Maya’s life ambition is to become a great math teacher, and her “Plan B” is to become an accountant. She enjoys writing and receiving letters from her loving sponsor.
