Personal History: Manoj’s parents are unknown. According to the orphanage’s scant records, Manoj was about three or four years old when he was found wandering in the streets of Kathmandu by police. He was placed with a social group who brought him to the Balmandir Orphanage. He has no memories of his parents or of any other life other than at the orphanage. Since he has no relatives, Manoj spends the long Dashain holiday at the orphanage.

What makes me special?: Manoj is in the 7th grade and is a bright, hardworking student. He is full of energy and loves playing soccer and cricket. Manoj loves to sketch pictures and to read, especially religious books. His life ambition is to become a professional basketball player, but his plan B is to become a scientist. Manoj is eager to learn and his class ranking improves every year. He expresses love and gratitude to his sponsor.
