Personal History: Prakesh’s parents are unknown. According to the orphanage’s records, Prakesh was about four years old when he was found wandering in the streets of Kathmandu by police. He was placed with a social group who brought him to the Balmandir Orphanage. He has no memories of his parents or of any other life other than at the orphanage. Since he has no relatives, Prakesh spends the long Dashain holiday at the orphanage.

What makes me special?: Prakesh is in the 6th grade and is a bright, hardworking student. He is outgoing, creative and athletic; a happy, active, healthy teenage boy who loves swimming and playing football. His life ambition is to become a famous painter. Prakesh has a hunger for learning and wants to help others. He expresses love and gratitude to his sponsor.
