Personal History: When Sarswati was very young her father passed away. He left six children and a wife, who was unable to feed or care for all the children. Sarswati was placed in Balmandir Orphanage, along with sisters Sakuntala and Narayani. During the long Dashain holiday, Sarswati occasionally visits her mother in her village of birth or stays at the orphanage with her sisters.

What makes me special?: Sarswati is a beautiful, healthy girl who loves to play with other children, and especially loves to sing and dance. Her life ambition is to become a “good singer.” She expresses love and gratitude to her sponsor. She is happy to be at school and out of the orphanage. Sarswati is in the 5th grade and is a bright, hardworking student.
