Personal History: Shrishti was found discarded in the road by patrolling police in Kathmandu when she was about 3 years old, and was brought to Balmandir Orphanage. She could not communicate anything of substance about her family, so there is nothing further about her in the records. Later on, her younger sister Sadhana was also found abandoned and brought to Balmandir. Sadhana was sponsored by HCC in April 2008, and HCC learned about her big sister the following year. Sadhana told us that she missed her sister and wished that she could join her, and HCC was able to fulfill her wish in April 2009. Since the sisters have no known relatives, they will spend the Dashain holidays back at the orphanage.

What makes me special?: “Shrishti”, which means “Creator” in Nepali, is a happy girl who loves to dance, sing and play with other children, but especially loves being reunited with her little sister Sadhana. Her favorite sport is badminton. Her favorite subject in school is math and she wants to be a nurse or a flight attendant when she grows up. Shrishti’s favorite color is green and her favorite food is noodles. Shrishti loves spending time dancing and watching TV.
