Personal History: There are few records available that tell us about Tenzing’s origins. He was abandoned at the steps of the Balmandir Orphanage at a very young age by an extremely impoverished family. He had a brother that was adopted by an American family. He has no relatives that claim him, so he spends the long Dashain holiday back at the orphanage.

What makes me special?: Tenzing is an affectionate boy, spirited, and always smiling. He loves to dance and sing, and especially loves to play soccer. Tenzing’s favorite subject is math, his favorite color is red, and his favorite food is “chicken momos” (Nepalese dumplings)! He wants to be in the army or a professional soccer player when he grows up. He hopes that his sponsors will come to see him so that he can give them lots of hugs!
