Himalayan Children's Charities raises funds to provide better care, living facilities, and education for Nepalese orphans. Our goal is to upgrade the quality of life for as many of these children as possible so they can have the same opportunities in life afforded to children in more fortunate situations.

As funds become available, we move the children from over-crowded orphanages into pre-screened quality boarding schools where there is a low child-to-adult ratio and a higher level of education that is otherwise available to them

In addition to improved living conditions and care, another advantage of these private schools is that the environment and caretakers support the children in improving their sense of self-worth and confidence and in setting and achieving their goals in life.

In this setting, the children have the opportunity to transform - to shift from mindsets of being victims of circumstances to ones of being individuals who matter and can make a positive difference - and thus see possibilities for themselves, their country, and the world beyond the past they have known.
